André Palmeri began Aïkido in the 70's. Student of Claude Pellerin, he followed the teaching of Tamura Senseï and Chiba Senseï.

In 1985, he entirely devotes himself to teaching Aikido with the creation of Dojo Makoto. The term "makoto" is used as a token for his intention: to transmit within the means offered to him, the most traditional orientation possible to the Dojo.
